If you lost access to your backup codes, or if you were not the one who enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) via Authenticator app or SMS, you can log in to your account by sending a verification code to your email. When you try to log in to your account you will be prompted to enter a 2FA code.
Use the smart device app to scan the QR code displayed on your Nintendo Account screen. A 6-digit verification code will appear on your smart device. Enter the verification code into the field under step 3 on the Nintendo Account screen, then select "Submit".
If you are signed in, you can reset your password using the Change Password service. If your Nintendo Account was linked to another account during registration, please follow the appropriate procedure for that account. If your account is linked to an NNID, you will need the password for the NNID.
Tap on the overflow icon situated at the top-right and select Settings. Then select the Time Correction for Codes option. Finally, tap on Sync Now and wait for the process to complete. Once done, check if you are able to get the Nintendo Account 2-Step Verification Code.
Use Backup Codes to Access Nintendo Account If you are still not able to login using the 6-digit code, there might be an issue with the Google Authenticator app on your smart device. You can use the backup codes to access your profile. These backup codes were provided when you set up the 2-step verification settings.
