Who are the members of the NCARB Board?

NCARB is led by a Board of Directors elected by the member registration boards at its Annual Business Meeting each June.

Do you have to pay NCARB registration fee?

All fees are non-refundable. You will need an active NCARB Record to participate in the Architectural Experience Program ® (AXP ® ), take the Architect Registration Examination ® (ARE ® ), and have your Record transmitted to an architectural registration board for initial licensure.

Do you need a degree to join the NCARB?

Most U.S. jurisdictions require a professional degree from a program that is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). NCARB publishes the NCARB Education Standard as a recommendation to its Member Boards, but requirements often vary between jurisdictions.
