I’m currently a Controller for a 100M / yr organization. My salary is 140k + 10k bonus regardless of company performance. A close friend of mine wants me to jump ship to their organization. I’ve been pitched this: 150k + 25k bonus. The thing is, this organization is much more complex, public, global, and 3x the size revenue wise and growing.

The only issue is that it's not accounting work. I'm not sure what I want to do. I'm going to graduate with both majors, but my initial plan was to find a job as a staff accountant and go to graduate school for my Master's in Accountancy. After the job offer though, I've been thinking if accounting is really what I want to do.

Accounting looks good to me because it appears to have a stable workflow. It seems like kind of job that you can just sit down and get to right away. And it seems like a job that is more mechanical and streamlined (less mentally taxing and less likely to make your head blow up). A job that you can digest easily in small incremental portions.
